2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: (a) information you provide, (b) information collected automatically, and (c) information from third parties.

2.1 Information you provide

Account and profile information

  • Name, username/store name, email address, password (or authentication token), and other profile details you choose to provide.
  • Age confirmation (we require users to confirm they are 18+ to create an account).

Transaction and fulfillment information

  • Purchases, order history, listing interactions, and records related to pack reveals and fulfillment.
  • Shipping addresses, billing addresses, phone number (if provided), and delivery preferences.

Seller information

  • Seller onboarding information, store details, and other information you provide as part of applying to sell.
  • Note: identity verification and payout onboarding is typically handled by our payment processor, and may require additional personal information (see "Third parties" below).

Communications and support

  • Messages to support, emails, dispute communications, and information you provide when you contact us.
  • Reviews, ratings, and feedback you submit.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Device and usage data

  • IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, session duration, clicks, and referring URLs.
  • Log files and diagnostic data, including crash reports and performance data.

Cookies and similar technologies

  • We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and site performance. See our Cookie Policy for details.

2.3 Information from third parties

Payment processing and payouts (Stripe)

  • Stripe processes payments and may process seller payouts and identity verification. We receive limited information such as payment confirmation, partial card details (like last 4 digits), and transaction metadata. We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Sellers may be required to provide additional information directly to Stripe for identity verification and payouts (for example, government ID or tax information). That information is handled by Stripe under its own privacy practices.

Shipping and labels (EasyPost and carriers)

  • We use EasyPost to help generate shipping labels and track shipments. This may involve sharing shipping and contact details needed to fulfill orders and obtain tracking.
  • Carriers (for example USPS, UPS, FedEx) process shipping and tracking events.

Infrastructure and hosting (Supabase and Vercel)

  • We use Supabase for database, storage, and authentication services, and Vercel for hosting and delivery of parts of the Service. These providers may process data as needed to operate the Service.

Email delivery (Resend)

  • We use Resend to send transactional emails (for example order confirmations, shipping updates, and support-related emails). Resend may process email addresses and message metadata.

Geocoding and location services (Geoapify)

  • We may use Geoapify to help validate addresses, power location-based features, or improve fulfillment workflows. This may involve sharing address strings or approximate location data.

Google services

  • We may use Google services for security, analytics, performance monitoring, maps, or similar functionality. If enabled, Google may set cookies or receive device and usage data as part of providing those services.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service (accounts, orders, pack reveals, fulfillment, and support).
  • Facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers, including sharing shipping details for fulfillment.
  • Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms and policies, and protect users and the Service.
  • Communicate with you, including sending transactional emails and responding to support requests.
  • Improve and develop features, analyze usage, and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

4. How We Share Information

We share information in the following circumstances:

4.1 With sellers and buyers

  • When you buy items, the seller receives information needed to fulfill the order, such as shipping name and address and order details.
  • When you sell items, buyers may see your store name, ratings, and order-related communications.

4.2 With service providers

We share information with vendors that help us run the Service, including:

  • Stripe (payment processing, fraud prevention, seller payouts and verification)
  • EasyPost (shipping label generation and tracking)
  • Supabase (database, storage, authentication)
  • Vercel (hosting and delivery)
  • Resend (transactional email delivery)
  • Geoapify (address validation, geocoding, location features)
  • Google (security and other enabled Google features)

Service providers are permitted to process personal information only as needed to provide services to us and consistent with their contracts and applicable law.

4.3 For legal and safety reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

  • Comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Protect the rights, property, and safety of Pigmint, our users, or others
  • Investigate and prevent fraud, security issues, or abuse

4.4 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
